Biography
Sael Lee received her Ph.D. in Computer Science from Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN in 2010, and her B.S. in Computer Science from Korea University, Seoul, Republic of Korea in 2005. Apart from her appointment at Stony Brook University, she holds a tenure track faculty position at SUNY Korea. Her research is sponsored by NRF of Korea and NIPA.
Research
Sael Lee's research expands in the areas of Computational Biology and Data Mining. Projects categorized as Computational Biology focus on researches related identifying diseases mechanism through 1) development of various algorithms for studying 3D structural and systematic interactions of bio-molecules and through 2) modeling and inference of biological and clinical data. Projects categorized as Data Mining focus on development of methods for scalable computation of various data mining and machine learning tasks with special interest to graphs and tensors.
