Seung Soo Park received Ph.D degree in Computer Science in University of Texas, Austin in 1988. He was a research engineer in MCC, Austin briefly before he takes the Assistant Professor job at University of Kansas, Lawrence. He moved to Seoul, Korea in 1991 where he was a professor at Ewha Womans University for 26 years. During his tenure at Ewha Womans University, he served as a department head of the Computer Science Department, as well as a dean of engineering school. He moved to SUNY Korea in 2017.


Seung Soo Park’s research expands in the areas of developing intelligent systems:
- Software agent systems for intelligent tutoring system
- Ontology for a smart rooms and ubiquitous systems
- Text mining systems for bioinformatics abstracts
